A friend of Alan Ginsburg, Tram Combs is an art writer and beat generation poet.

 

Posing in this allegorical work "Attending To His Creation," Tram was 87 years old and wearing a pacemaker, which was included in the portrait.

 

In spite of living in precarious conditions, he looks like a biblical figure coming straight out of a renaissance painting.
