Olga in blue.jpg

This portrait of the artist’s wife and favorite muse, Olga, a Russian-American woman, is timeless.

It has a Renaissance feel because of the Ciara Obscura and lighting. The dark ultramarine and cobalt blue tones enhance the fairness of her skin and the blondness of her hair.

The subject has such a unique beauty that it confers the painting a metaphysical aspect reminiscent of Leonardo Da Vinci’s portraits of young women.
